Douglas was born in Burbank. No, not in Southern California but a small town in Southeastern South Dakota! After high school, he moved to New York. While maturing artistically in The Big Apple, Douglas attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, (AMDA) a musical theater conservatory.
